Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss' first taste of fame as a fiddler came in 1990, when she was just 19 years old, and was awarded the Grammy award for Best Bluegrass Album. The award was impressive not only because of Krauss's old age, as the album that earned her such recognition, I've Got That Old Feeling is actually the third album in the collection of Krauss. Her debut album, Too Late to Cry which was released at the time that she was Champaign, Illinois, native was 16; she had made a deal with Rounder Records--one of the most respected folk music labels that exist in the world--at the age of 14. The accomplishments of Krauss at this young age, as well as her ability to play the guitar, have been consistently matched by the fact that she has kept her commitment to bluegrass music - one of the oldest and most unappreciated musical genres. Krauss is now an adult, having grown from being a teenager phenom to a seasoned performer and producer. Alison Alison Alison
